Over 32 years of continuous development, Jiangsu RANA Fluorine Material Technology Co., Ltd. (RANA) has grown from a small anti-corrosion equipment factory into a top-10 enterprise in the industry. Its development history is a microcosm of China’s fluorine material lining sector, which has evolved from scratch to global competitiveness.
In 1994, when China’s anti-corrosion equipment industry was still in its infancy, Jiangsu Ruineng Anti-Corrosion Equipment Co., Ltd. (RANA’s predecessor) was officially established. The founding team, driven by a relentless pursuit of anti-corrosion technology, started the arduous entrepreneurial journey in a simple workshop.
During this period, RANA mainly served the basic chemical industry, providing basic anti-corrosion equipment for chemical plants. Despite its small scale, the company always adhered to the "quality first" principle, gradually gaining a foothold in the local market.
With the rapid development of China’s chemical industry after the new millennium, demand for anti-corrosion equipment increased significantly. RANA seized this opportunity by introducing advanced foreign technologies and cooperating with domestic research institutions to gradually improve the technical content of its products.
Around 2005, the company was selected as one of the "Top 10 Enterprises in China’s Anti-Corrosion Industry", marking its official entry into the first tier of the industry. During this period, RANA also began to enter the IC semiconductor sector, providing process chemical storage and transportation equipment for domestic 6-inch and 8-inch wafer fabs, opening the door to the high-end market.
Driven by the rise of high-tech industries such as semiconductors and flat panel displays in China, demand for high-purity fluorine material lining equipment grew rapidly. RANA keenly seized this market opportunity and launched product upgrading and production capacity expansion initiatives.
In 2014, the company jointly developed lining technology with Japanese and South Korean enterprises, achieving a major breakthrough in technical strength. At the same time, the company began planning the construction of a dust-free clean workshop to prepare for entry into the high-end market.
2017 was a milestone year for RANA. In this year, the monthly output value of PTFE lining products exceeded RMB 16 million, all key workshop equipment was imported, and technical personnel regularly received overseas training, significantly improving the company’s comprehensive strength.
The company invested heavily to build the country’s only 9,000 ㎡ Class 10,000 clean PTFE plate lining workshop, enabling it to produce PPB-PPT grade high-purity lining products and becoming one of the few domestic enterprises capable of supplying equipment for 12-inch wafer fabs.
In the early 2020s, the company was officially renamed "Jiangsu RANA Fluorine Material Technology Co., Ltd.", abbreviated as RANA, and launched its new official website www.ranaflon.com, which supports browsing in 120 languages, marking the official launch of its brand internationalization strategy.
In 2023, RANA established a branch in Vancouver, Canada, to enter the North American market. Currently, the company’s products are widely used in three major sectors: IC semiconductors, wet electronic chemicals, and basic chemicals, serving numerous industry leaders including Samsung Electronics, GlobalFoundries (Chengdu), and Tongwei Group.
Standing at the new starting point of 2026, RANA has put forward the corporate vision of "becoming a great lining company". In the next 5 years, the company will continue to increase investment in technology R&D, deepen technical cooperation with internationally advanced enterprises, and strive to become an international first-class fluorine material lining solution provider.
